Overview
This study is conducted to investigate the participation of producers of four focus industries in the national micronutrient fortification strategy to support the National Fortification Strategy in general and its social marketing campaign in particular.
The industry assessment focuses on the integration of fortification of iron in soy sauce, fish sauce, vitamin A in vegetable oil and vitamin A, iron and zinc in flavoring powders. Key informant interviews with 26 producers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, etc. were conducted. There are two groups of producers covered in our survey: (i) committed producers and (ii) non-committed producers.
