The Bootcamp in Mathematics for Economics course is an intensive course in Mathematics, and its application in economic models. The course aims to provide a system of in-depth knowledge of Mathematics, mathematical models, and proofs with the aim of helping students become familiar with the language of mathematics closely.

The training will also introduce the application of mathematics in microeconomics (such as the problem of maximizing consumer pleasure, and maximizing producer profits), as well as in macroeconomics (as optimal growth). The course content focuses on two topics: convex optimization in finite-dimensional space and dynamic systems with discrete time, because these are two applications that are used a lot in economics subjects. at the graduate level, helping to prepare basic skills for students who want to pursue Economics at higher education levels.

3. Finite-dimensional convex optimization

• Approach: Theory and practice in parallel each session. At the beginning of the course, students will receive materials and have time to research, prepare, and ask questions. In each lesson, the instructor will focus on answering questions and practicing on exercises in each chapter.

Entry level: Sophomore, junior, senior students with economic major currently studing in Vietnam.
