Overview
Better Work is a unique partnership program between the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Launched in February 2007, it aims to improve labour standards and competitiveness in the global garment supply chain by assessing workplace conditions, and advising and training factories through a process of continuous improvement. In the long term, Better Work Vietnam also aims to be sustainable, that is, to reduce and if possible eliminate its reliance on donor funding, boost revenues from services, and to transition to a new independent or semi-independent organization that is both nationally managed and financially sustainable. The objective of this study is to help Better Work in Vietnam develop a comprehensive sustainability study and identify a viable organizational model for its operations in the post-2020 period. The study paid particular attention to key institutional functions such as finance, procurement, management, human resources, as well as the appropriate legal and regulatory structure for the organization to operate in Vietnam.
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
– Review relevant documents and studies;
– Design the survey (sampling strategy, data collection tool);
– Revise the questionnaire and develop interview manual guide;
– Implement qualitative survey with Better Work management board, officials and their partners and clients.
– Implement online quantitative survey with BW clients (companies)
– Data entry, data analysis and report writing.
