Overview

The project has two components: the Communication and the Model Component. The overall goals of the Communication Component is to raise public awareness on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, especially sexual violence against women and girls, and increase demand for use of justice, police, social and health services by GBV survivor. The overall goal of the Model Component is to strengthen national and institutional capacity to ensure availability and accessibility of essential services for GBV survivors through building a piloting Model of Support to respond to VAWG in Viet Nam .
End-line survey for measuring the impact the project has contributed to bringing about after more than 3 years implementing project interventions on VAWG; and provide relevant stakeholders with lessons learnt, good practices and recommendations for consideration for nationwide application.
Specific objectives:
– Provide robust data on the level of knowledge, attitudes/perceptions and practices (KAP) of local authorities, key leaders in communities, men and women on VAWG, especially SV;
– Measure the awareness of people in project areas on availability of supportive services for VAWG survivors, particularly services provided by Anh Duong House in the Quang Ninh Social Work Center.
– Identify the availability of and accessibility to counselling, health care, treatment, support and protection services for GBV victims; and hotline services;
– Provide information on the operation of the multi sectoral coordination mechanism on GBV;
– Analyze and assess the effectiveness of the project via comparing the VAWG situation recorded in base-line and end-line studies, especially effectiveness of the piloting Model of Support to respond to Violence Against Women and Girls;
– Propose recommendations for nationwide application of the model.
