Overview
The assignment aims to collect data measuring quality of life (QOL) for people with disabilities (PWDs) who (will) have received supportive services provided by implementing partners (IPs) administering USAID’s activities. The outcomes are used to measure the theory of change and the performance evaluation of USAID/Vietnam Disability Project on both adults and children with disabilities.
DEPOCEN conducted two-round field surveys (baseline survey and follow-up survey) with 483 adults with disabilities and 209 children with disabilities (692 PWDs in total) in three provinces Binh Dinh, Dong Nai, and Quang Tri.
Services provided
– Data collection instruments development: Verification of translation of the survey instrument; translation of the key informant interview (KII) guides into Vietnamese; comments on data collection protocol and instruments;
– Fieldwork preparation: respondent identification; obtain clearances and permits; data collector recruitment;
– Training and Piloting: 100 adults and 100 children with disabilities plus 26 cognitive interviews as a hands-on extension of the training;
– Data collection: quantitative survey (based on an electronic tablet/phone platform); 483 adults and 483 children with disabilities
– Bi-weekly reports through fieldwork phase;
– Data Files and Data quality report submission.
