Overview
The main objective of the study is to understand the situation of children’s rights in Vietnamese Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) represented by firms in two of the most important industries (Apparel and Footwear (A&F) and Travel and Tourism sectors (T&T), in order to provide better assistance for SMEs in respecting and promoting children’s rights in their business activities. In order to achieve the project objective and to be more understand SMEs for better interventions with SMEs, the project carry out a deep assessment with SMEs with a focus on but not limited to children’s rights issues in the workplace. The purpose of the assessment is to:
i. Assess the situation of SMEs in relation to children’s rights with a focus on but not limited to workplace issues;
ii. Analyze the obstacles faced by SMEs to implementing the CRBP.
iii. Document the existing good practices applied by businesses to engage, promote responsible business practices in the workplace as well as in market place and communities to ensure children’s rights promotion in business.
iv. Identify the areas where related stakeholders, especially SMEs, need to improve to respond and respect CRBP.
