Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh is DEPOCEN’s Chairman and Chief Economist. Dr. Ngoc Anh is an experienced expert in economics and policy development. He obtained his Master Degree in International Trade and Finance in Lancaster University (UK) and later a PhD degree in Economics in Lancaster University. Since 2005 Dr. Ngoc Anh has been the co-founder and chief economist of Development and Policies Research Center and has led it become a reputable organization among the development and policy researches and consultancy community. Since 2008, he has provided researches and advice as an economic advisor for the Economic Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam. He has also worked with the Central government, local government, NGOs and CSOs. His years of experience working in the field of development and policy for both governmental and international organizations have given him a well-built position among researcher community.

Nguyen Phuong Mai (Msc) obtained her Msc in Society, Science and Technology from the Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and Linkoping University (Sweden). Her years of experience working on impact evaluation and project evaluation in development fields have helped her build profound understanding and strong knowledge in relevant fields. Legislative development, rural development, public service, public health, education, gender equality, and agricultural and rural development are among her expertise.

Hong Anh holds BA degrees in Accounting at National Economics University, Hanoi. Nguyen Hong Anh is an accountant. She assists executive director in financial & accounting management and assists project officers.

Dang Ngoc Bich acts as an office accountant and administrative manager. She assists project officers and manages office properties. Bich hold B.A degree at Ha Noi university of Industry.

Thanh Thuy obtained her Bachelor of Sociology in Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hanoi. Since 2007, she has worked for DEPOCEN in many studies and surveys. These opportunities have help her build strong knowledge and experience in development topics, including gender, water supply and sanitation, agricultural and rural development, public service and transparency, etc.

Nguyen Thi Chuc is a Project Officer at DEPOCEN. Her main tasks support the conduct of surveys and research including literature research, desk research, sampling, questionnaire design, make interview arrangements, field-work, data entry, data analysis and writing report. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Sociology at the Academy of Journalism and Communication

Ngoc Minh holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nantes and a Master’s degree from the University of Toulouse 1, France. Ngoc Minh’s research focuses on analyzing the development of social networks and the public economy.

Ms. Dieu Hoang obtained a BA in Economics from the Foreign Trade University (Vietnam) and a MSc in Economics from Kobe University (Japan). The years of working in VietnamCredit – a business information provider in Vietnam as junior industry analyst have helped her build up understandings in the economic integration of Vietnam into the global economy, global value chain and extensive experiences in supporting Vietnamese enterprises especially agriculture enterprises to export . Some of the industry reports she did while working at VietnamCredit were Vietnam’s Textile Industry Report 2017, Vietnam’s Real Estate Industry Report 2017, Vietnam Country Report 2017/2018/2019, Vietnam Country Report 2018Q1/2018Q2… Working as a researcher at DEPOCEN since 2020, Hoang has participated in survey activities such as designing research tools, sampling and conducting qualitative and quantitative survey. In addition to her background in economics, Hoang is proficient in using statistical software such as R and STATA. Her research interests include FDI, household economics, health & nutrition.

Ms. Tu Anh obtained a bachelor degree in International Economics from University of Economics and Business – Vietnam National University in 2020, and started working at DEPOCEN in the same year. As a researcher, she has participated in many large projects relevant to gender equality, education, economic development, etc. Two-year experience helped her to enhance skills in research design, data analysis, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative survey.

Mr. Dao Huan graduated from National Economics University with a bachelor degree in Mathematial Economics. He has worked at DEPOCEN since 2020 and joined in projects on rural development, gender violence, education, public health, climate change, etc. He has extensive experience in conducting field survey, developing data collection toolkit, managing and analyzing data by using software like CSPro, STATA and R, and writing report.

Viet Lien graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the National Economics University in 2021 and started working at DEPOCEN from July 2021 to present. Viet Lien has participated in projects on gender equality, environment, economic development, people with disabilities, etc. Working experience at DEPOCEN has helped her develop skills in data analysis (with software such as STATA,…); conducting quantitative and qualitative surveys; writing report; and study design skill.

Minh Hien graduated with a Bachelor of International Studies from Hanoi University. She has more than 2 years of experience assisting and coordinating development projects, training projects, and social impact projects. Currently, Hien is the Coordinator of training programs of CASED Center of DEPOCEN.

Ms. Duy Linh graduated with a Master’s degree in Regional Studies and Environmental Economics at the Corvinus Unviersity of Budapest in July 2021. Her interested research are related to environmental economics, climate change, education, and sustainable development. Duy Linh has research experience as a research assistant, developing questionnaires, collecting and processing data at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment.

Ngọc Linh started working at DEPOCEN as a Researcher after her graduation with BA Degree in International Business from Danang University of Economics (Danang University). During her study, Ngọc Linh demonstrated her profound passion for conducting research in development economics. As a Researcher at DEPOCEN, Ngọc Linh is developing her knowledge and skills in both qualitative and quantitative methodology.

Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Anh graduated with a Master of Public Health from the National Cancer Institute, Korea in 2020. Ms. Anh has over 6 years of experience in public health research. She mastered skills in developing outlines, toolkits, data collection, processing and report writing. Currently, Ms. Ngoc Anh is working at DEPOCEN as a researcher.

Ms Nguyen Thuong Huyen graduted Master of Economics in Kyoto University. She has several working experience years as a research assistant in Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University. She is analytical, quickly adaptable and result-oriented with strong interest in sustainable development and poverty eradication.

Gia Tan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Banking Academy. He has experience as a research assistant at Banking Academy from 2020 to present. His research area focuses on the financial behavior of investors in the stock market.

Mr. Tran Nguyen Ha Khoa received his bachelor degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Environmental Science at Union College, US. He has been doing research and conducting experiments since 2018. His areas of academic interest includes public health, epidemiology, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

Nguyen Ai Nuong joined the Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN) as a researcher in economics in 2018. Her research interests include health economics, labor economics, and applied econometrics. Nuong obtained a M.A. in economics from Toulouse School of Economics, France and a B.A. in Economics from Foreign Trade University, Viet Nam. Presently, she is doing a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Kentucky, USA.

Hanh Linh graduated with a Bachelor of International Relations  in English (Diplomatic Academy, Vietnam), and a Master of Political Science (Central European University). Hanh Linh works at CASED/DEPOCEN as a researcher: assisting in writing research reports and analyzing data. In addition, Hanh Linh has experience as a research assistant for Emory University and the University of California San Diego.

Ms Pho Thanh Huong obtained her Bachelor of Sociology in Academy of Journalism and Communication in 2011 and Master of Sociology from Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in 2015.  Since 2011, she has worked for DEPOCEN in many studies and surveys. These opportunities have help her build strong knowledge and experience in development topics, including gender, water supply and sanitation, agricultural and rural development, public service and transparency, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen obtained a BA in Social Affairs from University of Labour in 2010 and then she has MA in Social Affairs from University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2013. She participated in  many the project relevant labor, works, immigrant …. … In addition, Quyen is proficient in using statistical software such as R and STATA. Her research interests include FDI, household economics and health & nutrition.
