Consultancy and Coaching staff of Sustainable Economic Empowerment of Ethnic Minorities Project in Dak Nong (3EM project) in Dak Nong to conduct Annual Outcome Survey; Training course on Project Management and M&E for M&E staff of all project of IFAD in Vietnam.

Overview
DEPOCEN was selected to provide a training course on project management and project M&E for M&E staff of all IFAD projects in Vietnam, including: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Thuan, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, and Ben Tre. The training was held in November 2012 in Hanoi with total participants of 43.
The training course lasted 5 days, from 26 to 30 November, 2012 in Hanoi. The course provided participants the following knowledge and skills:
- Project management;
- M&E includes basic concept and methodology, how to set up M&E system, M&E plan;
- Mainstream gender in development project and M&E strategy;
- Measuring and report first, second and third level results: RIMS and RIMS+ survey;
- Sampling method;
- Methodology of collecting qualitative information includes key informant interview and focus group discussion.
The course was designed to provide trainees with both theory and opportunities to practice. In every section, participants were motivated to raise questions, comments, sharing experience on specific themes as well as to engage in exercises in which they have the chance to apply all theories to solve problems.

3EM project in Dak Nong
- Designing Questionnaire and manual guide for Annual Outcome Survey;
- Training for M&E staffs to implement annual outcome survey;
- Supervising the annual outcome survey of 400 households (200 households of the treatment group and 200 households of control group);
- Training on data entry and analysis (Cspro, and SPSS);
- Data analysis and report writing (in a separate contract with 3EM Dak Nong);
- Project management and M&E training
