This legal study comes at an opportune time for reflection and review of the significant progress made in the national fight against corruption, with the Government recently completing its fifth year in implementing the Anti-corruption Law and its review of the implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption, while entering into the second phase of implementation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy. Yet the effectiveness of such laws, strategies and commitments rely largely on the ability of the principle governance institutions in Vietnam.
