The people also need to comprehend the roles and position of the National Assembly. In practice, Vietnamese people do not clearly understand the structure and activities of the National Assembly and lack opportunities for direct contact with the deputies. This forms a serious obstacle to the participation of the people in the development of national policies. In addition, one of the important objectives of the National Assembly leaders during the next tenure is to build a National Assembly which takes into account the consultation and participation of the people.
