The study aims to add to the body of literature by studying the relationship between<br \/>\nownership structure and corporate performance in privatized firms, based on Vietnam&#8217;s<br \/>\nexperience in privatization. The study&#8217;s results showed that private ownership has a positive<br \/>\nimpact on firm performance. Contrary to private ownership, state ownership has a negative<br \/>\nimpact on firm performance.
