Based on<br \/>\nstatistical data on the Vietnamese economy in the period of 1990-2008 (2009), this study<br \/>\nanalyzed the factors affecting economic growth. The policy changes, economic<br \/>\ndevelopment, poverty rates and living standards of Vietnamese population are analyzed<br \/>\nover the reform period using qualitative methods. The results of this study show that<br \/>\neconomic growth under reform and world integration has reduced the poverty rate and<br \/>\nincreased living standards of population in Vietnam. An evaluation of the factors<br \/>\ninfluencing economic growth is made using a quantitative model of total factor<br \/>\nproductivity (TFP) and another econometric model. The findings from this quantitative<br \/>\nanalysis show that the growth of the Vietnamese economy was determined by two<br \/>\nfactors: (1) capital investments, including foreign direct investment (FDI) and (2) the<br \/>\ngrowth of exports. The results of these qualitative and quantitative analyses lay the<br \/>\nfoundation for policy recommendations for Vietnam Government to develop economy in<br \/>\nthe future<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","cate_publications":[],"author_publications":[1908,1909,1910,1911],"topic_publications":[],"class_list":["post-9253","publications","type-publications","status-publish","hentry","author_publications-nguyen-thi-canh","author_publications-tran-hung-son","author_publications-nguyen-thi-canh-en","author_publications-tran-hung-son-en"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publications\/9253","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publications"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/publications"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9253"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"cate_publications","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/cate_publications?post=9253"},{"taxonomy":"author_publications","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/author_publications?post=9253"},{"taxonomy":"topic_publications","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/depocen.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic_publications?post=9253"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
