The results suggest<br \/>\nthat the reaction of stock markets to oil price shocks varies significantly across markets.<br \/>\nSpecifically, the stock market responds positively in Japan while negatively in Malaysia; the<br \/>\nsignal in Singapore and South Korea is unclear.
