Overview
The National Integrity System (NIS) Study seeks to contribute to ongoing national anti-corruption efforts in Vietnam by highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of key governance institutions and providing recommendations to strengthen their functioning and improve the system as a whole. This legal study comes at an opportune time for reflection and review of the significant progress made in the national fight against corruption, with the Government recently completing its fifth year in implementing the Anti-corruption Law and its review of the implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption, while entering into the second phase of implementation of the National Anti-corruption Strategy. Yet the effectiveness of such laws, strategies and commitments rely largely on the ability of the principle governance institutions in Vietnam. The NIS Study seeks to improve the
Services provided
- Providing a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of key governance institutions in Vietnam, including their institutional capacities and actual practices;
- Using the finding and inputs from a qualitative survey on key government agencies, donors and non-government stakeholders to prepare and develop evidence-based and actionable recommendations to strengthen each institution;
- Advocate for the strengthening of select institutions based on the findings and recommendations of the report.
